Pictures!
I love getting pictures from Taylor! The first picture is of Taylor and his new companion at a baptism of a little boy named Carlitos. The second picture is of Taylor and his new companion Elder Torres. The third picture looks like changes for Taylor. I believe he is on a bus with Elder Pierce heading down to his new area. He looks kind of tired. Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elf is Taylor's Mission President, Presidente Petersen, his wife and son. It was the Mission Christmas party. The last picture is Taylor's favorite family in T-bo. There names are Victor and Miriam Sosa. Miriam always had Taylor and his companion over every Thursday for lunch. Taylor has told me many times how much he loves that family. Elder Tate is doing awesome. It was so good to hear his voice. I loved it. He loves the work he is doing and his testimony and example is a continual strength to me. Love ya Tay!
IT IS HOT!!
Hola Familia,How is everyone doing? GO UTES that is amazing. They are the only team to go undefeated this year. I would have loved to watch that game. The work is going good here in Dolores. We had 8 people in church this week and all of them are progressing really well for now. We will see what happens to them in the next couple weeks but i think that they are all going to keep progressing. That would have been the coolest Jazz game to go to. You got to sit next to the Prophet. That will be an experience that you will never forget. I would have felt the same way. Did the Jazz win? How are they doing this year? Did Taylor wear his jersey or was he dressed up nice? Because knowing him he probable would have wanted to wear the jersey. They weather is getting really hot here. The people say that it is going to get a little hotter in January and then in February or March it will start to go down. But i am one sweaty Elder. That stinks that Dad and Taylor haven´t had a lot of success this year. Hopefully in two years it will be the best that it has ever been. I am having a lot of fun with Elder Torres but it is a lot different being with Latin companion. We get along most of the time but we get to the house late every night and it is starting to drive me nuts, but other than that everything is going great here in the Guay. Sorry i don´t have a tone of time this week there is only one computer to using the cyber and my companion has to use it to. I love you all so much. Thanks for all of the love and support. Scriptures of the week MosÃah 2:22, 41. The only thing that the Lord requires of us. I will send some pictures next Monday. Chao i love you all. Elder Tate I have a little more time so i will write a little bit more. The Holidays are really different on the mission. 1) the way that the people celebrate them. 2) we are here alone in Dolores and we couldn´t go into the zone activity because they didn´t have any buses or anything that day. That stunk really bad. Other than that it was a normal P-day. That is the thing that is the most different is that it is just another day. It isn´t special or anything. But we had a good time. They did fireworks at midnight but that is about all. It was the earliest that i have gone to bed on new years eve that i can think of. p.s. have Alison send me the pictures of the snow thanks
HO HO HO
Hello Everyone, It was so good to talk to you all on Christmas, i loved it. I didn´t get the e-mail that Alison sent of the snow so try to send it again so i can see it next week. I am so jealous that it is snowing in Utah. I love the snow and there is no such thing here. It was a different having Christmas in hot weather. I just doesn´t feel the same, but it was fun. The people here celebrate Christmas at midnight on the 24th. That is the night that all the family gets together and they have a fiesta and there are a lot of fireworks. Well not a lot compared to the U.S. on the 4th of July but for the Guay it was a lot or so the people said. Elder Torres y I got up at midnight to watch the fireworks and eat some ice cream and lamb it was really good. But the best was to talk to everyone on Christmas. I couldn´t believe Zoe she sounded so big. It was really fun to talk with everyone. I had a question for Jodi but i forgot to ask her. The clippers that i have work really good but they are so loud i think something is wrong with them. If you could just ask her what might be the problem. Yes i did get the letter you wrote in the Christmas conference. Thanks so much i´m going to send a picture of that conference. The rest of the week went good. We had 2 people in church which wasn´t the best but we will get some more this next week. It has been so hot and they say that it is just going to get worse in January. But then it is going to be winter here in the Gauy without snow. But it will be good to have a little bit of cold weather. Yes Carlitos counts as a baptism of the missionaries because the family was inactive and then the missionaries came by and not knowing that they were members and they reactivated the family and baptized the little boy. It was actually a really cool story. The little boy is so smart i wish i had a memory like his. Good luck moving all that stuff today i hope that everything goes smoothly. So how is it not being the relief society president? A lot less stress. When is dad going to go hunting again? I can´t wait to go. I miss guns and hunting. Everything is going great here, i hope that everyone had an enjoyable Christmas. I love you all and i am so grateful for all that you do for me. You are always in my prayers. Les amo mucho y tengan un buen ano nuevo. Chao Elder Tate
